Hello to all my students! My name is Mrs. Renee Fitzsimmons. This will be my 8th year teaching. I have taught first, second, and third grades. I taught 1st grade for one year, 2nd grade for 2 years, and this will be my fifth year teaching 3rd grade! I absolutely love 3rd grade and I hope you will too!

My birthday is February 21st.
My favorite color is purple.
My favorite flowers are sunflowers and daisies!
I love cats and dogs. (and most animals!!)
I have two cats named "Masey" and "Leia". (You will hear about them a lot!)
I have two daughters, Cayleigh and Chloe (who was just born last March!) My daughter, Cayleigh, was born December 25, 2003! Christmas Day!! (You will hear about Cayleigh and Chloe a lot too!)
My husband's name is Chris and we have been married for seven years. (You'll probably hear about him too!)
I have so many favorite foods. They include tacos, any kind of pasta and sauce, ice cream, and cheese!
Three of my favorite movies are "My Bestfriend's Wedding", "Dirty Dancing", and "Forrest Gump".
My favorite tv shows are "American Idol", "Lost", and "Grey's Anatomy".
I lived in New York state for my whole life until July 2005 when I made the big move to Georgia!

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended Buffalo State College and received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in May 2000.
I graduated from Medaille College with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction- with a focus in ADHD and Technology in December 2003.

CERTIFICATION:
I am certified to teach in New York State (PreK-6th grade) and English Language Arts in 6th grade.
I am certified to teach PreK-8th grade in Georgia and 4th-8th grade Language Arts.
