| The following guidelines for formatting the final draft of any Level III essay must be followed |
| explicitly. Deviation from these guidelines will result in a loss of points. |
| 1. Final drafts may be typed or handwritten in blue or black ink. |
| be size 12 font |
| If typed, the manuscript must . . . |
| be double-spaced |
| have 1" margins all the way around |
| If handwritten, the manuscript must . . . |
| be on college-ruled notebook paper with edges neatly trimmed |
| be printed or written as neatly as possible |
| be single-spaced |
| 2. Use only the front of each page for final drafts. |
| 3. Include a formal heading in the upper right-hand corner of the page with the |
| following information: |
| Student name, Class period and title, Date handed in, and Assignment title. |

| 4. Number each page after the first in the upper right-hand corner. |
| 5. Include an original title centered at the top of the page below the heading. |
| 7. Staple multiple pages together in the upper left-hand corner. |

| 8. Submit completed manuscripts in your Final Draft folder, which Mrs. Huertero will provide. |
| 6. Skip an extra line below the title before beginning the body of your essay. |
