Scholastic and Troll Book Orders: We will not be having a book order this month. We will continue our book orders in January. Christmas Play: Our Christmas play will be on Thursday, December 5th, at 1:00 p.m. and Friday, December 6th, at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. First grade is supposed to come dress as carolers on both days. This means they need to wear their Sunday best or their Christmas best. We hope to see you all there on Thursday or Friday. More information should be coming in the Wednesday mailing. Christmas Party: On December 19th, we will be having our Christmas party. We are planning on having pizza and other goodies during lunch time. I will be sending home a letter saying how much it will be. If you child does not want pizza, they must provide their own lunch. Later on that day, we will be watching a holiday movie and having a snack. Each child needs to bring in a bag of Christmas candy (wrapped) by Monday, December 9th. Wish list items for December: If you can bring any of these items by this Friday, December 6th, we would really appreciate it. Please contact Mrs. Ossi at 813-258-0618 to tell her what you can bring in. Thanks! 1. Assorted construction paper 2. 4 ft. tree (We do NOT need any decorations. I already have them!) 3. Wrapping paper (5 rolls of 45 ft. or more) 4. Bows (at least 20) 5. Tape (at least 5 rolls) 6. Advantix film (400 speed) 7. Candy canes (2 per child= 40 total) 8. Cotton balls (4 bags) 9. Baby socks (need 11 pairs) 10. Ribbon (Chrismas colors 5 rolls) 12. Cocoa (for 20 children) 13. Bag of mini-marshmallows 14. Styrofoam cups Some of these things can be found at the Dollar Tree. Field Trip: Information about our field trip to the Florida Aquarium will be going out soon. All children need to bring a bagged lunch for the day. If you are free to chaperone the trip, please let me know by Friday, December 6th. We will be leaving school on December 16th at 9:00 a.m. and returning to school by 2:30 p.m that day. Unfortunately, we can only have parents chaperoning. We would appreciate it if other siblings and/or relatives not attend. We want our first graders to have a great experience with their classmates. Thank you for your cooperation to this matter. Other Possible December Events: Pajama day: On December 19th, I would like for the children to come to school in their pajamas with their P.E. clothes underneath. We will be reading a story about children who in the middle of the night aboard a train to see Santa. As we enjoy the story, we will be drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows. Gingerbread Play: We would like to put on our own Christmas show with Ms. Semeyn's class on December 18th at 9::00 a.m.). Your child might need to memorize a part for our play.
