G'day Dad. How're you going?
It's me, your eldest lad.
I hope this letter finds you well
I really haven't much to tell,
but things for now aren't bad.

So Dad, I'm really writing
to wish you all the best.
For father's day is almost here
and this may be your foremost year,
and final father's fest.

So let me start by saying
for yet another year,
have a Happy father's Day,
more merry than the month of May
and full of loving cheer.

(From offspring scattered nationwide
our thoughts and thanks still reach you.
While physically we're torn apart,
a father lives within the heart,
so smile I beseech you.)

On this special father's day
I'd plainly like to state;
Thanks for all that you have done,
for all you've been, and all the fun,
and thanks for being great.

As father's go you've done so much,
(Perhaps just as you planned.)
A marvellous dad, up to this date,
but next you will not be great;
Next year, dad, you'll be
grand!

Happy Dad's day 2004
much love and wishes
Tim
