The man who always clowned. Here's to the man, who lived with his heart: A passionate man with a love for his art. A serious, comical, wise upstart: a man who always clowned. he always had a suitcase packed, with circus gear, or books of fact. He juggled, cycled, hacky-sacked; This man who was a clown. A man who loved the circus quirks. A man who knew why circus works. A man deserving all heavenly perks; a man who loved to clown. A man who toured to many town. A man who turned frowns-up-side-down; who earned, and wore, a doctortate gown: a wise and thinking-man's clown. I'm glad he was born, and that I got to meet him. I'm glad that this year I could catch up and greet him. It's hard to believe even death could defeat him; the man who always clowned. Here's to the bloke who started so much. A bloke with ideals, and a humane touch. A bloke who will be remembered as such; the clown who was also a man. Reg Bolton: A clown like no other. A man like no other. |
