I play beside men
who once started as boys.
I play to win pennants
or trophies or Cups.
I play like a mongrel
protecting her pups.
I play for the rumbles.
I play for the knocks.
I play for the upsets.
I play for the shocks.
I play to improve myself.
I play for honour.
I play to impress girls
like Lisa or Donna.
I play to get out a bit,
out in the sun.
I play to be social, and just have a run.
I play for the tours,
but when all's said and done,
