Why Australia need's a new anthem...

There are at least
three main reasons why the  current Australian national
anthem needs to be updated, overhauled, and/or replaced.

1.  Much of the
lyrics are outdated or worded in archaic language which doesn't
accurately represent contemporary Australia, and modern day Australians don't identify or connect with.

2.  Due to the awkward wording and the content within the lyrics,
most Australians forget or make a variety of mistakes when attempting to sing the lyrics. Clearer, more contemporary lyrics are needed to address this problem.

3. The
actual musical melody of the tune is dull, and compared to most national anthems
it is most uninspiring melody. Listen to the most exciting anthems from other countries and you will
notice that their melodies have significantly more 'dotted notes'. This gives the anthems a'galloping' sort
of feel which implies momentum, and is far more engaging and passionate for the listener.
So what can we do ...

Lyrics - Look at the current words to see what the problems are;
1. They need
updating
2. They need to
relevant to modern Australians.
3 They need to be
easy to remember and sing.

Melody - Needs to be re-written with more syncopation (dotted quavers etc) to give a
feeling of
momentum and action.
