| One Saturday morning I was down in London to watch CDUK. The show was featuring H and Claire who I was there to see but a1 were also performing. I had been to many CDUK's where a1 had been on the show and was quite a fan of some of their hits, especially classics such as 'Summertime Of Our Lives' but although our paths had passed on mamy occasions and I was sure that they had noticed me on the scene, I had never actaully met any of the members! So after filming finished, I decided that this had to change so I went with Pete and his friends to wait for the guys from a1 to emerge from the studios so i could introduce myself! |
| Paul was the first to appear but despite one girl screaming his name with his name plastered all over her face, he ignored everyone and climbed straight into his car. ben came out next but he was on his mobile to someone so he just waved and also got straight into the car. But just as I was about to give up, Christian came strolling over to see all the fans! After he had spoken to all the girls waiting for the band, i seaized my chance and introduced myself. Christian was obviously very pleased to meet me and agreed to have a photo with me but he was obviously jealous of my good looks and worried about me upstaging him in the picture so he tried to hide me behind the metal bar!! |
| Christian and I said our goodbyes and I waited for the last member of the group, Mark to turn up. I didnt have to wait long cos he was soon walking towards us and all the screaming a1 fans! Once again I waited until he had finished signing for all the fans to make sure that I had his undivided attention. I went to introduce myself but I didnt need to - Mark greeted me like an old friend!! 'It's Mr Ted!! Hello mate!' he said excitedly!! We had a little chat and I asked if he'd mind having a photo with me! 'Of course not! I have to, your Mr Ted!!' he exclaimed before posing for this picture! |
| Since H and Claire had left the studios straight after their peformance early on in the show, there was no one else to meet so we left the studios and went off to spend the rest of the day in London! |
