story - The Cool Kid

   Once upon a time, there was this sad little boy named Max who sat in his bedroom all day starring at the cool kids outside playing. He was a very nerdy kid with very nerdy friends. The school year had just ended that summer. He was excited because he though he would get a cool make over and be with the cool kids at school.

   During the summer Max worked very hard to become a cool person. He first got a very cool haircut! Next, he needed to act like a cool person. So he hired a cool person to help him with that…Merriam. Merriam was a 12 year old who went to the same school that Max went to…Remmer.

   In the beginning of the last year, Max had a secret crush on Merriam, but he never had the courage to tell her because she was so cool and people wouldn’t want to hang out with her if she hung out with Max, because he was ugly and not cool.

   Of course as we all know, we all say the same thing; ‘It doesn’t matter what the person looks in the outside, what matters is the inside!’ Well of course that would be very nice, but unfortunately that’s not true. We all look at the person to see if they are pretty or handsome or not! Doesn’t matter if we want to or not, we do it!

   But back to the story…Merriam charged $50/hour and said that Max could tell no one about the lessons she was giving him. He agreed to it! All he wanted was to be cool, it didn’t matter how he got there, he just wanted to have the feeling of being cool, the feeling of fitting in with the other kids at school.

   Only a month left of break, he couldn’t wait to show up at school and see what his friends had to say about him.

   The time had finally arrived. It was Monday, August 2^nd, 2004.  He couldn’t wait to take the bus, so he asked his dad to drive him to school. When he arrived everybody looked at him…all the girls fell in love with him…he even turned some guys gay because he was just so hot now! So the first thing he did was he went up to the people that made fun of him and he started making fun of them! And so every one lived happily ever after!
