In other languages they are called “Flying Jewels” or “The Flower Kissers”.  We call them hummingbirds.  I view them as the fighter pilots of the bird world with awe inspiring beauty and flying abilities that would be the envy of any self-respecting fighter pilot.  I know, I was one for many years.
