Detroit AIDS Walk
We walked 3 miles around the city of Royal Oak and raised $865.00 for the AIDS cause.  Viewing the AIDS quilt as well and sharing stories and goodies were included in our day.

Corn Bag Sales
To raise funds for activities, we sold homemade, organic Hot/Cold Corn Bags.  Thanks to Aunt Nancy for her expertise!

Parent/Teacher Conferences Bake Sale
To raise funds for activities, we baked and sold cakes, cookies, etc.  Thanks to all our supporters!

Detroit International Festival
20 Octagon members (with students from the Bilingual program) attended the Detroit International Festival at the Novi Expo Center.  We participated in various cultural dances, learned about various countries, enjoyed professional performance, tasted  cultural cuisine, and purchased cultural gifts.  Click here for pictures!

Gift of Reading Book Drive
With the encouragement of the Mrs. Rutledge's Child Care class, we donated over 68 books to the Gift of Reading Drive.  These books will be given to children in hopes of encouraging their love of reading.    Special thanks to Ms. Enderle's students.

Abbey Nursing Home Holiday Visit

Approximately 20 Octagon members visited residents at the local nursing home creating special holiday crafts and sharing stories and laughter!
