I was trained as a Data Entry
Operator and it was fun work until my supervisor told me that I could not work
through my break time. She (Gwen Golden) said that by law, I must be away from
my work area.
That was the beginning of taking
the fun out of working, trying to adhere to the law. But I adjusted; because I
found that the law was for both the employer and the employee.
During my employment with
Blue Cross/Blue Shield, my grand father passed away. My friends and co-workers
gave me a beautiful card with donations, which was personally delivered, to my
apartment by my supervisor, Ms. Golden.
It took me a few years to
recover from the devastating loss and I became a stay-at-home Mom to prevent my
son from becoming a latchkey kid until he became a semi-responsible teenager.
