Our first ever summary for M.S.A. here at LaGuardia. We plan to keep the entire M.S.A and all of the brothers and sisters at LaGuardia a little more informed on the events that are upcoming this semester by getting the word out in the most effective way we know.  By this, M.S.A will publish a weekly summary of the happenings of our events that are being planned, our weekly meetings, SAC meetings, and as well as any general information that needs to be mentioned. We intend to keep every Brother and Sister informed and involved in what we plan for this semester and the semesters to come.  Please let us know what you think and feel free to drop us any suggestions that you might have.

     Every club here at LaGuardia needs six people to make up the executive board.  The positions consist of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, SAC representative and SAC alternative. 

   Our M.S.A President, Avais Khizer  is the incumbent from last year.  Avais has the responsibility of collaborating ideas and making sure the entire operation goes smoothly for us all. Newcomer to the picture is Vice President, Shuaib Vincent.  Shuaib assists Avais in the daily functions and programming of M.S.A and events. Hafiza who is the Secretary she takes care most of the paper work, and assists any one in the office. Sister Zubia Ansari handles M.S.A.’s treasury.  Our SAC representative who attends the meetings then reports them back to M.S.A is Kosar M. Shaker . This makes up the group in charge of any meeting or even mentions of M.S.A.

Inshallah, we will hold Jumah Salat on Friday in

Room M156 and Brother Akbar will give Khutba We stress the importance for all the brothers and sisters to do their best to make it to  Jumah every Friday.

   Classes with Mohammad Yassen began on October 9^th and will continue until the end of this session.  Yaseen has been very active and helpful to M.S.A. by giving great insight on specific topics each week.  These classes are not only interesting to attend but also very beneficial to all of us.  Please make your deen strong and drop by on every Wednesday at 2:30 PM in room M158.

  Our bulletin Board number this semester is # 26.  We are yet to rearrange our articles or points of interest but Inshallah you will see it soon.  Remember, if any brothers or sisters have any ideas or articles that they would like to contribute, please make your suggestions know to anyone executive in  M.S.A. All ideas are welcomed.

      As everyone already know, Ramadan is right around the   corner so M.S.A. is preparing not only for this but also    for the next event, “Islam Awareness Week. This  event will take place during Ramadan starting  on Monday, November 11th thru November 15th. To make this year most effective, we are planning on holding an informative table in buildings M, E, C and the atrium. This will also be time to speak to those brothers and sisters who we don’t usually see in M.S.A or during Salat. We are also inviting others so that they may gain knowlegde of our religion by       giving them the Qu’ran, Islamic books and different  types of Pamphlets

         Of course there will be more events to come   although we     have not decided yet what it’s going to be but be on the       look out.
