I've had SO many requests on how to get a tube cleaner. Some take Before I begin, I will show you some of the tools you will be using. and these should be on your TOP tool bar: We will start with a picture already in progress. Fill in the top box as shown below with white. I normally keep Using the flood fill tube, fill in the sky. Here's the tricky part. You can I normally start out with mine set at 20 but the more you raise it.. the The next little trick I will show you is using your SELECTION TOOL. And while it's still blinking.. with your cursor, pull the area off of the Now see all the work that just saved you? LOL You can continue Next tip: This one most already know who have made tubes. Using the Now you can see the areas much easier that you need to clean up. Below is part of the skirt, ZOOMed in at 3. Now with the ROPE tool Drag off to the side or click on the SCISSORS. Results: Next tip: Using the Line Tool. Before using the LINE TOOL on her sleeve:
After: As you can see, the area is MUCH easier to finish cleaning up now. Next, I zoomed in on one of the skates and you will see another area Using your FLOOD FILL TUBE at the highest TOLERANCE possible without Sometimes when you use the FLOOD FILL you may lose just little areas Where you see the finger pointing.. put your EYE DROPPER there and Now the final step I always take is to FLOOD FILL in the whole Using the ROPE tool.. go around the picture as shown below. Then click on EDIT and COPY.. then EDIT and Then do the same with all the small white areas. It's easier to ZOOM If you care to visit Lori's Sites, Thanks for coming by. alot of time to do, others are pretty easy. I am using Paint Shop Pro 5.
This tutorial is designed to give you some tips and tricks to make it a
little easier and quicker. I've sort of put off doing this one.. LOL I knew
it would be harder to explain some things but I will do my best =)
So far, I have mostly cleaned it with the FLOOD FILL selection.
black in the bottom for lines I may need to touch up.
make your FLOOD FILL tool fill in more colors similar to white by
raising the TOLERANCE. Here is how. Click on the FLOOD FILL and
then on the TOGGLE CONTROL PALLETTE as shown below:
more colors it begins to fill in with white. Like the very light greys,
blues, pinks.. etc. I usually keep raising it until I see that I am losing
more of the things I DON'T want whited out. Always remember..
you can always go up to EDIT and UNDO to undo any or all
steps you have done. Below, I filled in more with the FLOOD FILL
tool but I raised the TOLERANCE to 50.
It fills in alot more for you the higher you go.
Make the bottom box in your 2 color boxes in WHITE.
Make a square in the area as shown:
picture OR click on the SCISSORS. Then you will have this:
making little boxes all over the background and cutting them out.
If for some reason, your tools may not be working, it could be because
your picture is in the Floating Selection and you can easily fix that my
clicking on your SELECTION tool and then on the picture. It will say
(Floating Selection) on the top bar where you see Image2 on the
picture above.
AIR BRUSH and white.. just start painting in little areas. This works
best if you ZOOM in on the picture by going up to VIEW and ZOOM
IN, here I zoomed in at 3. Example below:
When you are done.. just go back up to VIEW and click on NORMAL
VIEWING.
and your cursor, go around an area as shown.
I use the line tool for areas that have an even edge. I will use it on her
sleeve as ZOOMED in on below. Having white in the top box, clicking
on the LINE TOOL and the TOGGLE CONTROL PALLETTE and setting
the line at 3 as shown:
that needs to be cleaned up:
losing the area you need.. fill it in and the area inside the shoe lace:
but you can fix them. As shown below, part of the shoe lace on the
other skate was filled in:
pick up that same color. Then using your LINE TOOL, setting it at 1
(may vary) draw the lace back in as shown:
background with white again. I raise the TOLERANCE as high as it will
let me without losing any of the picture. This may fill in some of the
little areas you may have missed. I also then ZOOM IN again and
check again for any the FLOOD FILL may not have cleaned up.
Now it's all clean and ready to make into a tube.
PASTE AS A NEW IMAGE. When the new image comes up, click on
your MAGIC WAND and click on the large white area. Then click on
the SCISSORS and the background should become transparent.
in and get those. Then click on FILE and SAVE AS and save as a tub as
shown in my first tutorial on making tubes. You can also check how
clean the tube is by cutting and pasting it to a different colored
background. If you see lots of white around the tube, you can go back
a few steps and raise the TOLERANCE on the white and
FLOOD FILL again.
Hope that was easy for you to understand and will make
your tube making more easy and fun. =)
