Our Book Talk assignment is based on this one, except for the additions below:
Reading Counts
As part of your Book Talk assignment you are also required to pass the Reading Counts quiz for your book.  If you do not pass you will need to read the book again and continue to work on your journal.  When you have passed the Reading Counts quiz you will be ready to give your Book Talk to the class.
The Book Talk Assignment

1.  Carefully read a book and complete a response journal while you read.
2.  Pass the Reading Counts quiz for your book.
3.  Decide on the format of your Book Talk and complete an appropriate graphic organizer.
4.  Write out a Book Review and prepare to give an oral presentation (Book Talk).
