Assignment
#1
Who is my target
audience?
Target audience is
English speakers who are seeking to learn the Arabic
language.
What does the site need
to communicate?
It needs to communicate
spoken skills, written methods, and comprehension of the Arabic
language.
Does my client have any
special goals or needs?
Clients usually want to
learn the language for business or religious reasons, or are looking forward to
move to an Arabic speaking country.
Have I asked my client
what sites he or she likes and why?
My clients are more
interested in web sites that specialize in teaching the Islamic religion from
its authentic sources.
What is the scope of my
site?
The scope is the
education of Arabic language to American speakers.
Is there print material
I can match or borrow from?
Yes, there are a lot of
Arabic to Arabic teaching books, designed by institutions from overseas, aimed
at teaching non-Arabs the Arabic language, and books designed by American
writers aimed at teaching Arabic language to American
speakers.
What other sites are
similar to mine in scope and intent?
Not really, the closest
sites are more into teaching children how to read and write English, or sites
teaching foreign languages to Americans.
