Early in the morning, on September 9, 1982, Jamie Lynn was born to this earth and on a sunny Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2003, she returned to Heaven. Sudden Death Syndrome is a catch-all term used by the medical profession to describe death due to cardiac failure of undetermined origin. There are a number of congenital heart defects that can be diagnosed before a person has passed, unfortunately Jamie never had the need for an EKG, and we are left to wonder why such a precious, lovely and vibrant girl is not here with us, where we long for her to be.
A person's death does not define their life. It is important that we reach beyond our grief and look to the love and memories that make Jamie's life a continuing part of our own.
Daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, sister-in-law, friend, student, artist and writer are all definitions if you look up Jamie in the Book of Life. Jamie loved movies (Lion KIng, Star Wars, Titanic), music (Lincoln Park, Evenessence, Enya), books (Annn Rice, RL Stien), animals ( Magic, Mazie, Sissy, Millie, Girlgirl, Puff, Muffin, BT, Julie and many more), weather (good or bad - she knew the names of all the clouds and for years wanted to be a storm chaser), friends (Gina, Allison, Ashley, Suzanna), teachers (Carolyn George and Greg Scully were her champions and heroes), trying new things (horseback riding with "Free Spirits", Irish dancing, medival re-enactments with the S.C.A.), writing (she left us extensive journals and her site at Fanfiction), the computer (graphic arts, working in paint chat with other artists, listening to music, dueling with Yu-Gi-Oh cards, searching for information on new interests), water (bath or pool it didn't matter - she could stay in for hours), and food (chicken nuggets, party sandwiches, cookie cakes). There weren't too many things she didn't like, but avoided math and lettuce as if they were poison.
Jamie would think a website in her memory was "kewl" and very flattered that you came to visit.
