| Writing a proposal afforded students a chance to develop creative expression based on individualized interest. They also had to analyze what they had learned through the story and then identify what area(s) they wanted to pursue further. I required each student to use the proposal format I designed. It required them to state their topic, the area to be explored, their rational-how they would achieve their purpose, and how they would make it public via a final product.
