Subject-verb Agreement: Three Rules to Know

 

Fill in the correct response.

5.     When a singular subject and a plural subject are joined by or or nor, the verb agrees with ___________________________. (Rule #3)  

Example:  The principal or the teachers are going to the gym.

                            The teacher nor the principal is going to the gym.
