THIS WEEK'S LESSON:
Direct Object (DO):  A word that receives the action of the verb.      For example:   I ate pizza last night.   I ate what? pizza.  So, "pizza" is the DO.

Indirect Object (IO)
:  A thing or person to whom something is given, told or taught.  It is a noun or pronoun and it comes BEFORE the direct object.     For example:   I gave Susan a slice of my pizza.     To whom did I give? Susan.    So, "Susan" is the IO.

The word or phrase a prnoun refers to.    
For example:    John likes milk.  He drinks it everyday.     The pronoun  "he" refers to John.     So, John is the Antecedent.

Who was that woman?     Lady scienctist Marya Sklodowska. Of course the world come to know her as Marie Curie
      As a child, Marie was a brillant student.  From an early age, she was drawn to the sciences; this was highly unsual for women at that time.
     Soon, Marie had earned degrees in both Physics and Mathematics.
     Her dedication to the sciences earned her the coveted Nobel Prize Awards in 1903 and 1911.
