A Brief Introduction
I am Lyra Teves-Kim. I belong to 360,000 couples Blessing. I met the
UC in 1983 when I was a university student. I got so inspired by the teachings of Rev. Moon and immediately voluntered to become a fulltime member. Doing mission wasn't just fun but more of good memories with Heavenly Father and True Parents. I felt so lucky that I met the movement in the early years for it helps a lot to build a strong foundation of faith to do the substance.
I received the Blessing in 1996 January with the man named Kim Seung-chol and arrived in Korea in 1997 December. I stayed in our local Church for 40 days and start family by February. In 1998 December, we've got a baby girl named Kim Dong-ji (Lauren is her English name)and in 2000 January, a baby boy named Kim Ju-han (Geoffrey) was born. Having these 2 kids made my life more meaningful than ever.
Life wasn't that easy especially in a foreign country. However, faith makes things well at its end. Just overcome no matter what and never give up. True Father is the best example of this. Everyone knows His sufferings but He endured for the sake of God's Will. |
