Too Young
A love years ahead of its time
Tied down by modern ideals
Repressed by naivité
Allegedly under control of the authorities

But who could contain such a love?
Certainly not any earthly creature
Such a divine bond should not be questioned
Nor tied down; repressed
Nor under control of any tangible being

A yearning feeling accompanies the holy love
... for now.
Until the ignorant views are finally banished
Until time catches up

Until elders cease their quest for unattainable control
Of something they cannot fathom
Love will be barred by this self-inflicted blindness
And delayed, not haulted, on its true course
