The Void | |||||||||||||
She walks around all day With a smile upon her face No one knows what's going on Something's there, but without a trace She seems to be quite "normal," All giddy and upbeat But only she knows the pain That is her defeat Every now and then, The hurt somehow seeps through But she quickly tucks it in And no one ever knew The hurt, the pain, the emptiness, They chew away inside her On the outside, she laughs it up And no one is the wiser She thinks she's so clever She thinks that no one knows But he's got her figured out; He's realized all her woes That facade of a smile fades And a genuine one appears For finally love has found a way To silence all her fears. |
