This was a cosplay done with Heather. She dressed up as Aya/Ran and I dressed up as Aya. I'm both proud and horrified at the kimono. It was the first time that I had painted on fabric which turned out pretty cool but the way I made the kimono and the stuff it was made out of I'm now wondering was sort of crack I was on to think that it looked really good. I also didn't have an obi I just had a strip of fabric that I sewed velcro on, talk about lazy. On the plus side I didn't just throw on a kimono and say look I'm so and so from blah blah blah. I actually took the time to look and see what her birthday kimono looked like and made it in the right colors. I also made the earrings with Heather. Hers came out just fine but when I was drilling the hole in my from the ring to go threw I ended up slipping and cutting myself. I still have the scar on my thumb.
One Aya costume was apparently not enough for me so I did her pajamas or hospital clothes, take your pick. They're pretty comfy, I had one heck of a time with the front of it though. |
