| Heather got me into Harry Potter she had a friend (who's now my boyfriend ^.^ ) that was starting a Harry Potter fan group at Starfest called Hogwarts America. Hufflepuff was the house that I was sorted into so I made a Hufflepuff costume. Now Hogwarts America is called Avistrum Academy or Sorcery. (www.avistrum.org) That runs as a mini con at Opus fantasy festival and small classes, release parties, and other HP related activities that are done at Boarders, Sage Moon, The Continental Movie theater, VFW and others. Whoa back to the costume the scarf was knitted by Shana, who did a fantastic job! The vest, yes its a vest not a sweater, was knitted by my mother in two weeks! I had people asking me where I had bought it. Yay for friends and family! The cloak was made by me for this costume but has made its way around to working with several costumes such as Tonks, Harry, Lilly, and have been worn by me and several other people. |
