The pink and white casual dress was a pain. The sewing machine didn't want to sew the pink fabric so I had to put a piece of copy paper underneath the fabric to get the needle to go in. Then I had to rip all the paper off once it was done. It was quite silly and, being one of my earlier costumes, has a lot of mistakes I don't like to think about. But it was fun.
I always loved Arina-sensei's designs and the Park outfit was no exception. I bought shorts and a top and sewed lace onto the front of the top and around the legs of the shorts, the hardest part for me was the vest. I believe this was also the first time I lined something that wasn't lined in the pattern. So it was interesting trying to figure out. On a side note the first time I wore this costume it started raining, and the water was beading up on the jacket. o.o It amused me greatly. |
