| This was the first major costume that I did primarily on my own, in other words this is the one I learned how to sew on. Hence the reason for my cosplay name. I believe the cape was mostly sew by my mother but the orange dress, stockings, armband, headband were done by me. Heather cut the wig for me. I don't remember much about making this costume really except that the head band was a pain. I bought a moon charm and was going to soder it to the wire but the charm wasn't up to being sodered and melted on me, so I got a wooded moon at the store, painted it hot glued it to the wire. The armband was made by taking two needlework hoops cutting off the tightener thingy on the side, painting them gold, and then hot glueing them together. The socks/stocking were patterned and sewn by hand while I was up at CSU. I made the clip for the cape out of sculpy but there was too much cape to get into the clip and it just looked silly so I didn't use it. |
