For those of you with kids interested in hiking a 14'er, let me assure you that you should NOT just "pick one at random" while you're driving along I-70 or Hwy 24 or elsewhere through Colorado. A lot of consideration should go into the mountain's routes and characteristics as well as your child's physical and mental capabilities.
