BikeTrail Links
One of our favorite pastimes when camping is exploring on our Mountain bikes.  The ever growing Rails to Trails system has provided us with many adventures without the rigors of single track.  Although I have been known to wander away from the main trails and have discovered some nice side trails.  Below are some links to trails we have explored and enjoyed.  I also have included some linls to trails we are planning in the future.
Pine Creek Trail is probably one of the nicest trails we have been on and have visited there several times. Nature abounds on this trail.  Besides the main trail there are countless miles of forest roads, logging trails and single track avaiilable.

Also see the link off our  main page for the PA Grand Canyon Trip.

This trail has a lot of interesting historical features and sights.  Be sure to take the side trail.
Ghost Town Trail
The Lehigh Gorge Trail in NE Pennsylvania is established on an ol Rail line & Canal along the Lehigh River.  This passes through the Lehigh Gorge with interesting sights such as old Canal Locks & Rail remnants.  If you are observant you will discover a rock slide that has revealed a deposit of crystals.  Also don't miss a side trip to the abandoned tunnel at the lower end.

At the lower end this trail exits into Jim Thorpe, PA considered one of the best MTB sites on the East Coast by some.  Trails abound here of all types from Rails to Trails to EXTREME single track.

Switch Back Trail - Connected to trail above.
The C&O Rail to Trail is a trip in the planning stages.  There seems to be so much on this trail to absorb I don't know where to start.  I suspect there may be several trips involved.

I have supplied the link below but there are many other links within that take you to tons of info.
Alleghney Trail Alliance - This links yo to the C&O as well as the rest of this sizeable trail system.
