When you're in the woods taking a walk, Keep your eyes open for an old fallen log covered in moss For you see, it coud be, that it's not just a old tree, But a fairyhouse that you've happened across If you are polite and gently knock, you may hear the flutter of wings and the slow turn of a knob; Now, if you are courteous and if you ask very sweetly - (oh, and it helps if you dress rather neatly) the owner herself may just invite you To shrink down to size and see the inside view!
Well, a fairyhouse is a curious place as you may have guessed. All is quite tidy and there's never a mess. The tablecloth is a Cosmo flower with the dishes made of shells and nuts. The tea is drawn from a morning rain shower then served with cream in acorn cups. Woven moss and dried bluegrass make up a lovely rug Within each room a soft glow is cast by busy lightening bugs. When in a fairyhouse you may sit down to tea with a mouse, You may play rummy with a moth , You may snack on sweet pansy petals with raspberry sauce; And all the while Fairy and Toad will have danced as Bullfrog is lulled in to a sleepy trance by a ladybug who softly sings along with a cricket playing a silvery tune on his wings.
Now its important not to overstay As you would hope to invited back again one day. So if you've minded you manners and checked all you grammer, and if you properly behaved, then perhaps you will be asked to return- For you see ,my friend, time and age are not at all a fairy's concern!
