Well I've lived in Bloomington Illinois most of my life. It's about half way between St. Louis and Chicago. Which I believe has influenced our cultures, employment and economic status. Also the night life and music scene has grown termendously in the last 8 years. Which I have been lucky enough to participate. I took piano lessons when I was young but never really got into it. Because my teachers didn't want to show me anything contempory. Actually I wanted to play drums. So when I was 20 I decided to try to learn the guitar. Well I have to admit that I really sucked when I started. So I used to practice about 3 to 6 hours a day. I think it really drove some of my friends and roomates crazy. But eventually I improved then went on to play in
some 15 or so bands over the years. |
