Major Awards, Premierships etc: Life member, 2 x 2ndXI batting averages, 6 years as president, captain of 2ndXI for 4 seasons, 1 premiership in 2005-06 in the 5?s, played in 4 losing grand finals What was your best performance at MWCC? (Include details) Made 104 against Bulleen in 1983-84 in the 3rds. Made 93 in 2nds against Moorabbin in a one day game and took 7 for 52 against Elsternwick in 1999 (I think). Highlights by other MWCC players that you saw at your time at the club (include details): - In the First XI Danny Bryant smashing a 6 over cover in the last over to beat Caulfield at their home ground. I can still see the look on Jack Sheehan?s face! - Greg Pearse taking 7 wickets against Malvern in a final - Peter Cruden?s hattrick against Bundoora in 2005 Which players did you enjoy playing with the most at MWCC? Why? - David Senior ? Best captain I ever played under who gave the best speeches before and after games. - Joe Miecowski ? Fantastic bowler who gave his all every time he bowled and one of the best sledgers of batsmen I have seen. - Gary McRorie ? Best player ever at the club and a fantastic bloke. What was the funniest incident at your time at the club? Joe Miecowski telling an opposition batsman he was going to gouge out his eyes and skull f*** him! Who was the best player you saw during your time at the club? Gary McRorie. Strangest habit or idiosyncrasy possessed by another MWCC player/official: Paul Hyland never brushing his teeth or washing his Mt Waverley jacket. What sporting event would you most like to attend? The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. If you could only listen to 3 songs for the rest of your life, what would they be? - I Alone, by Live - Bow River, by Cold Chisel - Suicide, by Sound Garden What is the single greatest sporting moment you have seen? Makybe Diva winning her third Melbourne Cup. In 20 words or less, what one piece of advice would you give a young cricketer at MWCC? Stay away from Dicky Harris, he is a very negative influence! Also, never speak to or make eye contact with Paul Hyland. Did you have any cricket superstitions? If so, what were they? I used to wear the same jocks and socks during a season. Best holiday destination? Why? Port Douglas. Magnificent place. Unfortunately I didn?t get to enjoy it due to 20 stitches in the back of my calf due to Michael Slade stomping me in a game of touch rugby at training the week before I left! What is the most remote place you have visited? The Nullabor, I drove across it a couple of years ago. If you knew you were going to be shipwrecked on a deserted island and you only had $100 to spend on itwems before you went. What would you take? A porn mag, baby oil, blow up doll and a goat. If you could invite 3 famous people to a dinner party, who would they be? Why? - Greg Norman ? Was/is my hero - Elle Macpherson ? She can serve dinner - Jenna Jamieson ? She can entertain me and The Shark after dinner! What is your favourite food? Indian. I have finally discovered this fine cuisine after years of shunning it. Most disliked food? Used to be Indian!
