It is an unfortunate reality, but cricket can be a very long game. We've all been there - you can do everything right with your preparation during the week and then get an ordinary lbw decision first ball from an 85 year old umprire who happened to leave his bi-focals at home. You then have to spend the rest of the game watching from the stands as your team-mates plunder a very ordinary attack, reaping the benefits of dropped catches and continual misfields. To alliviate some of the pain, we here at "mounted" are taking the opportunity to celebrate the failure of batsmen with the duck club. The MWCC player with the most ducks for the season will be rewarded with the golden egg.
