Shimano M037 MTB Trainers Gallery 1 |
I've been mountain biking (MTB-ing) for a few years now, as a great way to get exercise - and get very muddy - with friends. However it can be difficult to get 'muddy' photos as I'm not sure my friends would understand....! A recent weekend away, we stayed in a holiday chalet, which had a very long pathway system around the site, and where it was far quicker to take short cuts over the wet and muddy grass instead. By the way the grass was churned up, plenty of people had opted for the (muddy) short cut instead. Anyway, one morning a friend came in after going to the shop, and his Shimano MTB-trainers (similar to mine, but the newer M038 type) were not only covered in mud, but he didn't take them off, and walked around in the chalet tracking really muddy footprints all over the carpets, until someone (not me!) pointed out the mess he was making, and told him to take off his muddy trainers. I'm still not sure if he did it on purpose or not, but it certainly grabbed my attension :o) This then gave me the excuse to go out a few times and get my MTB trainers muddy as well, help churn up the mud further for future guests, and add to the mud on the carpets in the chalet when I got back. (It cleaned up OK when it dried...really!) If only I'd had my camera with me at the time though! However, so my muddy friends did not miss out, once back home I took a few photos of my muddy MTB trainers for the Muddy Trainers website as below. Enjoy! All pictures (c) Muddy Trainers 2005.
