| Comments: Xena wasn't the best doe in town but did well for us. She was nice, long and wide, not real level, though had nice breed and dairy character. Her Mammary System wasn't the best but she was our best milker (don't take the milk test scores to heart; if I had milked her through to her test, she would have had more. As it was, my dad had to milk her and she lost about 3 lbs of production). I lost Xena on 2/6/07 to kidding complications. In many ways she was a great asset to my herd. All her kids were/are deep bodied and wide. They possessed Xena's streak of temper, yet were calm at the same time, like their dam. Xena's does nearly always milk more than their herdmates of the same age. I will miss her greatly. |
