This is now one of my favorite cakes. This cake was made for a small wedding, but could be made larger by adding more tiers.

Each teir is covered with pale pink icing. Over the pink, I put cornelli lace. The lace was scalloped around the sides. The borders were a simple shell and a ruffle. However, I stuck royal icing lace points (that were made ahead of time). I also added some string work around the ruffle, below the points. The flowers are all made from royal icing. I used roses, daisys, petunias, lilies and daffodils.

Although this cake LOOKS very hard, the fact that most of the stuff was made in advance made it quite easy to pull together.
