Instructor:Sham from Malaysia

Sham was a high school geography teacher before coming to Japan
she is now accompanying her husband, who is a student at Hiroshima University.

 

Menu

・Steamed Rice and Egg Curry
・Prawn Sate with Termelic Powder
・Pineapple Salad in Vinegar
・Dried Nutmeg
 


A variety of spices was used. All of the dish were preferred by even small children, Not all Malaysian food is hot, is it!!

Kid's Room

In total, 6 kids including Sham's 3 year-old son, stayed in the Kid's Room, waited for their mothers while cooking.


●Two participants stayed in the Kid's Room and played with the children. Thank you so much for your great help.

 

Japanese participants' impression

●I thought it was going to be very hot, I was a bit worrying about the chili, but the curry we cooked was not at all hot!
●I had a great time, did enjoy cooking together with everyone!●I felt happy because I tasted something very new and delicious!
●I wish to learn more and hope I will come back again and again.

Participants
In total, 18 people( 1 instructor from Malaysia, 2 volunteer staff) joined, Japanese not only from Kumano-town, but also from other neighboring areas (Hiroshima City, Kure City, Higashi-hiroshima City, etc.) came to join. Thank you so much for your great coorperation, everyone.
