In 1999 the arrival of 'Daniel Park Misty' from B & N Morrison in Victoria was the begining of our move into breeding. 'Misty' was in foal to 'Pentland Gambler' when she arrived, and in October of that year the birth of a chestnut filly 'Daikin-Lea Danielle' who has gone on to win many Champions and Reserve Champions at Agricultural and Stud Shows.
The next to arrive at the stud was that of 'Willow Green Rowleyalla' a black stallion by 'Wells Kismet'[imp]. He was joined to 'Misty' and in September 2000 'Misty presented us with a black/brown filly 'Daikin-Lea Dreamtime', who with limited showing at Aricultural and Stud Shows, had her greatest success at the 2002 Warrumbungle Sub-Branch APSB Stud Show, being named the Supreme Led Shetland Exhibit, at just 2 years of age.
In 2000 we decided to break away from breeding under the prefix of 'Daikin-Lea' which belongs to my father and now predomiantly under our new prefix of 'Mumbeau Park'.
During 2001 a mare Seeonee Wandering Star was purchased and along with Seeonee Vo Vo who is on lease from G &C Stuart, Binnaway were both put in foal to 'Rowley' which has resulted in the arrival of two fillies. Mumbeau Park Mystic Lass and Mumbeau Park Maliana.
'Rowley' again will have a couple of mares this year.
A new addition to our stud has been the recent puchase of the chestnut stallion 'Maramba Top Kat' this year. 'Top' as he is know arrived in mid-March from Fenwick Stud, Victoria and is already making his mark in the show ring , with 2 shows for 2. 1st in the Stallion Classes and then going onto winning the Champion Shetland on both occasions, this is not bad for a pony that has not been shown for several years.
