Arms, considered by most the most favorite badypart to work, is actually the most looked at on the body, and understandably so. There is something to be said about an arm that is well muscled, especially when exposed from a short sleeve shirt, and is well developed at all angles.
In this instance, we will be concerned with the major muscles of the arm: the Biceps and Triceps. If you've come this far in your quest to build, I won't bore you with all the different names, anatomical definitions, etc etc. We all know what the arm is about, as there are countless books that will tell you in detail about the mechanics of the arm. We will touch on the important stuff, what you need to know to build.

Yes, there are COUNTLESS others, and variations on the above. But in my opinion, these are the true muscle builders.
The standing barbell curl is the king of the arm exercises. It is a compound movement in that it works the entire arm, and if you want to put on size, this is the exercise to do.
The dumbbell curl, in all of its variation, definitely hits the biceps, but at different angles. Yes, they also build, but they also help to define and hit the biceps at different angles.
Click on any of the above exercises and they will show you in more detail how each exercise is performed.
