Greetings and welcome to my garden. My name is WindRider and was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, which is just north of the New York and Vermont state borders. I work for the Montreal Police Department. Previous to being in law enforcement, I worked for 10 years with Montreal's EMS as an EMT-P and yet I'm still wondering about what I'd like to do when I grow up.

In my garden you will find pages that reflect who I am. You will especially find personal poems and tributes. Most of my poems are based on personal experience, so if they can touch one person, then I feel that I will have accomplished something positive in this big World Web.

I am a huge admirer of the outdoors, enjoying horseback riding, hiking, mountain climbing, skiing and simply just enjoying all of Mother Nature in every season! I love the arts, especially music and as you will see, writing poetry. I love travelling and I've been fortunate enough to visit quite a few places in this big world of ours. Of course like all good Canadian children, I absolutely love hockey.

Finally, my personal philosophy is to enjoy life to its fullest and never look back. We all do go through difficult times, but you must never lose faith. These storms are brought upon to gain strength, wisdom and an even bigger appreciation of life. Once the storm has weathered, you are rewarded with colours, which you add on to your rainbow of life. Stand back and admire your rainbow and be proud of how you've acquired it. A favourite quote of mine is one by Hellen Keller, "When one door of happiness closes, another one opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."

I wish you a most enjoyable stroll through my garden and would be honoured by your signature in my guestbook to acknowledge your presence here. ~Namaste~ June 2002
