Cat May 25/03 Slipping from endless shadow to shadow Black as ebony, like the moonless night Golden eyes piercing through the darkness Part of the vast rainforest, a sense of right Leaves are softly rustling, birds chirping Animals moving, eerie whispers of sound Soft paws treading, ghostly passage No one conscious of you being around The black shadow moving, leaves then parting Peering through dense foliage, in search of prey Scent captured, run them swiftly to ground Shadow feeding, til dawn, the new light of day.
