This tablet unveiled June 24th, 1932."
This monument commemorating the Battle of Monmouth (June 28, 1778) was unveiled at Freehold, New Jersey on November 13, 1884. The relief shown here depicts Generals Washington, Lee, Greene, Stirling, Lafayette, Steuben, Knox, Poor, Wayne, Woodford, Patterson, Scott, and Duportail at the Council of War held at Hopewell, Hunterdon (Mercer) County, New Jersey on June 24, 1778.
