Beware! This summit lies in bog-trotting/heather hopping land.

The best (only!) route/s are from the south where you can follow a long but reasonable track all the way to the summit.

Starting at Llyn Celyn on the A4212 (SH861441) where there is plenty of parking available take the track into the forest that heads west before forking right (post on left with arrow) up to a gate and style at the edge of the forest.

The track heads north then east, skirting below the summit of Foel-boeth and downhill for a short distance where you then need to take the left turn at SH871427.

This track is then followed all the way down and across a small stream before climbing up to the summit. On the final approach to the summit there is a visible short cut up through some boggy heather if you prefer.

The summit comprises of a cairn with a boundary stone mounted on top and a separate large shelter enclosing a trig point minus cap. Time taken to reach summit 90mins.
