Saturday morning I parked my car at the foot of Tryfan and made my way up towards Glyder Fawr via Glyder Fach. The weather was excellent, clear sunny day and as I made my way past Glyder Fach the views were stunning. I reached the summit at 1330 UTC. Glyder Fawr has a large summit which is just as well as there were many people about. Several large outcrops on the summit made for good antenna supports and after choosing one set up my fishing rod support for my 20m band dipole and 3 ele yagi for 2m. Two other SOTA'teers had just started to call CQ from Cadair Berwyn NW-012, Dave GW4GTE and Shirley MW3GTE so after QSY we took turns exchanging reports with others calling in. |
