GW/SW-020 Called Edmunds Tump on the SOTA site, but called Graig Syfyrddin in the GW Association manual. First time this had been activated.

Parked in small lay-by at SO408204 short walk uphill alongside wood to join "Three Castles Walk" via gate at top of field. Bear left along track until SO402208. You need to get to the fields higher up the hill and the trees seemed thinnest at this point. Do the best you can, then follow the fields around to the left.

Field fences on the summit have been moved and don't agree with my new Explorer 189. The North/South fence that conveniently marked the boundary between Grosmont and Llangattock Parishes doesn't exist. The East/West fence now continues west to the trees.

So proceed around the field until the second fence, cross the fence and then walk up the fence line to the trig point.

Fields used for sheep grazing. No sheep seen, but plenty sheep related kit - feeders, molasses barrels etc in the fields. The summit (with trig point) is in an open field some distance from a public path.

4 contacts with SOTA regulars plus 1 local. Felt a little exposed in the open field far away from any public footpath, so left after 15 mins.

If I hadn't promised to be home by 14:00, I'd also have done G/SW-016 Ysgyryd Fawr – another 1 pointer. I passed it on the way home on the B4521. Anyone down this way may want to consider doing it at the same time !
