Rustic Ripple Afghan

Materials
+ 4-ply worsted weight yarn*: 41 oz fisherman, 7 oz rose wine,
4 oz woodsy green, 12 oz woodsy ombre
+ Size H crochet hook

Finished Size: 56" x 75"
Gauge: 8 dc = 2"; 4 pattern rows = 2"
Basic Stitches: Ch, sl st, sc, dc.
Special Stitches: For shell, 7 dc in given ch or st. For cluster
(clstr), keeping last lp of each on hook, dc in indicated sts,
yo and draw through all lps on hook. For beginning clstr (beg clstr),
keeping last lp of each on hook, dc in each of first 3 sts,
yo and draw through all 4 lps. For end cluster (end clstr),
keeping last lp of each on hook, dc in each of next 4 sts, yo
and draw through all 5 lps.
Afghan
Row 1: With fisherman, ch 220, clstr over 3rd ch from
hook and next 2 ch, *dc in each of next 10 ch, shell in next
ch, dc in each of next 10 ch, clstr over next 7 ch, rep from *
across, end clstr over each of last 4 ch, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: * Sc in top of clstr, sc in next 27 dc, rep from *
across, end sc in last clstr, ch 2 turn.
Row 3: Skip first sc, clstr over next 3 sc, *(dc in each
of next 10 sc, shell in next sc, dc in each of next 10 sc),
rep from * across end clstr over last 4 sc, ch 1, turn.
Rows 4-7: Rep rows 2 and 3 changing to rose wine at end of
row 7.
Row 8: Rep row 2 with rose wine.
Row 9: Rep row 3 with ombre.
Row 10: Rep row 2 with rose wine.
Row 11: Rep row 3 with fisherman.
Rows 12-15: Rep rows 2 and 3 with fisherman.
Row 16: Rep row 2 with woodsy green.
Row 17: Rep row 3 with ombre.
Row 18: Rep row 2 with woodsy green.
Row 19: Rep row 3 with fisherman.
Rows 20-23: Rep rows 2 and 3 with fisherman.
Rep rows 8 through 23 7 times.
Rep rows 8 through 15.
Rep rows 2 and 3 with fisherman. Fasten off.
Border
Rnd 1: Working into ends of rows along side edge, from right side
join rose wine in lower right corner, ch 1, sc in same st,
ch 2, *sc in next row, ch 2, rep from * across edge, (sc, ch 2, sc)
in corner.
For top edge: ch 2, sk 1 st, *sc in next st, ch 2, sk 1 st, rep
from * to corner, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner, work 2nd side edge as first.
For bottom edge: work around beginning ch between sts. (ch 2, sk 2 sts
sc in next sp) 6 times, **ch 2, sc in opposite
side of shell, (ch 2, sk 2 sts, sc) to next shell, rep from **
across, end sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 2: Join fisherman with sl st in any ch-2 sp, ch 1,
sc in same sp, *ch 2, remove hook from st and insert hk in next
ch 2 sp and back into st, pull st through ch-2 sp, rep from *
around, end sl st in beg sc. Fasten off.
