'he's a gambler who spends alot of time in las vegas betting big on football and basketball,' said the source.
'he invited shannen to a christmas bash he threw in his penthouse of st.regis hotel in century city - and they ended up spending the night together.
' within days shannen had moved into ricks hollywood hills home.'
