The Water Lily
Author Unknown
Read by Cameron's "Auntie" Michelle

A lonely young woman
in her dreaming discerns,
A lily decked Pool
with a border of ferns,
And a beautiful child
With Butterfly Wings,
Trips down to the edge of the water and sings:
"Come mamma come!
Quick Follow me!
Step out on the leaves of the Water Lily"

And the Lonely young woman
her heart beating wild,
cries "wait till I come,
Till I reach you, my child"
Steps out on the leaves of the lily and sings
"Come Mamma come!
Quick Follow me!
and step out on the leaves of the water lily"

And the woman in her dreaming
Steps out on the stream,
But the lily leaves sink
And she wakes from her dream,
Ah, the Waking is sad
for the tears that it brings,
And she know 'tis her dead baby's spirit that sings:
Come mamma come!
Quick Follow me!
Step out on the leaves of the Water Lily

When I was born I had a lot of hair and mum always said I was her little monkey.  Cameron was born with a lot of hair too, and now I have my own little monkey to treasure.  Unfortunately I won't be able to watch him grow, I can only imagine what kind of person he would have been.

I think he would have been a rugby player, because he was very active in the womb - always kicking and booting.

He would have had a sweet tooth, like his mum - because I ate a lot of chocolate while I was pregnant - and I know he liked it.

He would have loved Pooh bear and Tigger - no child of mine could not!!! - His room is adorned with Pooh Bear accessories

I am sure he would have been a perfectly behaved child!!! - Actually if he was anything like me, he would have stomped his feet and yelled and screamed

While looking at his face I can see myself and the members of my family in him - he definitely was going to look like me

I am sure he would have grown up to be a doctor, or lawyer, or maybe found a cure for cancer - who knows!!!

Unfortunately I will never get to find these things out, I can only dream and wonder.  I have had a few days to spend with my silent, still child and I have an overwhelming love for him - like no other love I have ever felt - No words can describe it

"Pooh!" called out Christopher Robin
"Yes"? said Pooh
"When I'm - when - Pooh!"
"Yes Christopher Robin?"
"I'm not going to do nothing any more"
"Never again?"
Well, not so much, they dont let you"
Pooh waited for him to go on, but he was silent again
"Yes Christopher Robin?" said Pooh helpfully
"Pooh when I'm - You know - When I'm not doing nothing, will you come up here sometimes?"
"Just Me?"
"Yes Pooh"
"Will you be here too?"
"Yes Pooh I will be really. I Promise I will be Pooh."
"Thats Good" said Pooh
"Pooh Promise you wont forget about me, ever. Not even when I'm a hundred"
Pooh thought for a little
"How old shall I be then!"
"Ninety Nine"
Pooh Nodded
"I promise" he said
Still with his eyes on the world Christopher Robin put out a hand and felt for Pooh's paw
"Pooh said Christopher Robin earnestly "if I - if I'm not quite - he stopped and tryed again - "Pooh, whatever happens, you will understand won't you?"
"Understand What?"
"Oh nothing" he laughed and jumped to his feet "Come on"
"Where?" said Pooh
"Anywhere" said Christopher Robin
Written with love by Cameron's Aunty Liz

I watched you, waiting for you to waken
So fast and cruely, you were taken
I see your mummy in such pain and sorrow
Wondering how she will face tommorrow
She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy
And we all know you would have given her such joy
Connor and Sarah waited eagerly for you to arrive
And I'll do my very best to keep your memory alive
So proud to say I'm your Aunty Liz
Such a dear little boy I will surely miss
