Olives in Sauce 1 Tbl Olive Oil 1 - 2 tsp Garlic (minced) 1/4 tsp ground Turmeric 1/8 - 1/4 tsp Salt 1/8 tsp Black Pepper [[ 1/4 - 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes - OPTIONAL ]] 1/2 cup Tomato Puree OR 3 Tbls Tomato paste diluted with Water to make 1/2 cup 2 cups pitted Ripe Black Olives 1. Heat pan, add Oil, add Garlic saute briefly until Garlic justs begins to turn golden. 2. Add ground Turmeric, saute 30 seconds, while stirring 3. Add Salt, Black Pepper & [OPTIONAL Red Pepper Flakes], stir. 4. Pour in Tomato Puree OR diluted Tomato Paste, add pitted Ripe Black Olives. 5. Bring to boil 6. Lower heat, cover partly, simmer 15 minutes to thicken sauce 7. Allow to cool slightly. Serve warm |
