PRETTY DISH CLOTH

Materials Needed:

WW cotton yarn any color

Small amount of WW cotton in a contrasting color

Size "G" Hook

Approx size: 9½ x9½

Ch 31

Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each ch across, turn. (30 sc)

Row 2: Ch 1 sc in same sp, sk next st, (sc, dc)in next st, *sk nxt st, (sc, dc)in next st. Repeat from * across to last st, sc in last st, turn.

Row 3-23: Repeat Row 2

Row 25: Ch 1 sc in same sp, sc in each st across.

Finish off and weave in ends.

Edging:

Row 26: With contrasting color, join with sl st in any sc, ch 1 sc in same sp and sc evenly around, using 3 sc in corners, join with sl st to first sc.

Row 27: Ch 2 (count as first hdc) 4 hdc in same space, sk next st, sc in next st, * sk next st, 5 hdc in next st, sk next st, sc in next st, repeat * around, join with sl st in top of ch 2.

Finish off and weave in ends.
